I'm stuck.  This is driving me crazy.  One small detail is stopping my app from being iOS4 ready.  :(

Update [2010-6-23 13:22:30 by codemonkey uk]: Problem Solved.

Solution: Test on hardware. Software iPhone Simulator is buggy. >_>

This question on Stack Overflow. I find it is usually more helpful than the Dev Forums?

No by codemonkey uk (2.00 / 0) #2 Wed Jun 23, 2010 at 06:50:06 AM EST
But I'll try that this evening if I've not had a reply on the official dev forums by then.

Sorry by jump the ladder (2.00 / 0) #3 Wed Jun 23, 2010 at 06:51:51 AM EST
I can't help you as my app doesn't use  OpenGL so works fine with transitions.

So, turns out by codemonkey uk (2.00 / 0) #6 Wed Jun 23, 2010 at 08:21:10 AM EST
My code was fine, it works on hardware, it was just a bug in the iPhone Simulator!

Or XCode fucks up and you have to reboot to get to work properly.

I get to a login page.

You'll need to enter your Apple user name and password in there I think, and that should solve your problem.

HTH.

The problem by codemonkey uk (2.00 / 0) #13 Wed Jun 23, 2010 at 04:20:22 PM EST
Was that the iOS4 beta running on the iPhone simulator is not the same as the iOS4 release running on retail hardware.

That is to say, my code worked just fine, but my test environment did not.
