Print Story Man is it winter again?

I enjoy watching the daily Press Secretary video on CSPAN.  Robert Gibbs is a year older than I am.  Odd.  I always think of people in important positions as being adults and older than me.  Way older.

I then watched yesterday's Question Time.  That's always a fun time.  That Clegg dude is all over 'both sides being bad' thing, isn't he?

So the number of clients who want us to focus heavily on Social Media integration for their websites.  This is exciting. Except that Facebook Twitter and MySpace are all blocked and we were denied an exception last summer when a site wanted a link put up.  That lack of an exception could have caused an issue if the developer had not checked the test site on his home machine after hours on a whim.  Even after THAT was pointed out we were denied.  So now three more potential clients, one that could keep us busy all summer want to do Facebook stuff. We can't even explore the APIs of these sites, as it is all blocked.

I don't think the rules will change, or that a technical solution will be tried (such as a a box that is firewalled off from the rest of the internal network and running a VMWARE instance or something.)  I just want to do something more cool than copying PDF files and resizing JPGs.

I'm actually seriously thinking of changing my party affiliation after being a registered Republican since 1990.  The only thing holding me back is my State's idiotic rules during primaries.  I get that the primary is suppose to be for the parties to pick the candidate for the fall and they don't want people messing with that, but sometimes there are actual questions on the ballot and sometimes they do occur during the primary.

The other issue is of course picking another party.  I have til 30 days before the May election to change, if I want the change to be for May.  Meh.

Oh and why am I thinking of doing such a thing?  Cantor for one.  Boehner for another. Newt for a third.  The sly 'oh yeah violence is bad, but hey they brought this on themselves, they should've listened.' bullshit has me pissed off.

This guy is disgusting.,0,5415363.story

So I almost bought a whole pineapple tonight.  However I did not know how I would use it.  Sure it could cut it all up and it eat for a snack but meh.  Maybe next week.

There was a hippy with her dreadlocked child in the store tonight.  The whole place reeked of pot.  No lie.

You'd think the White House is a job people would work their whole lives to get into... not quite the case.  I guess that is both its advantage and disadvantage.

Pineapple is sooo good. by muchagecko (2.00 / 0) #4 Thu Mar 25, 2010 at 11:56:19 PM EST
Buy it and chop it up. Pineapple doesn't just taste good, it makes you feel good.

A purpose gives you a reason to wake up every morning.
So a purpose is like a box of powdered donut holes?

You can't get a non-partisan ballot? by lm (2.00 / 0) #5 Fri Mar 26, 2010 at 04:34:13 AM EST
In Ohio, they a ballot for each political party holding a primary (four for the May primary) + one with just issues and anything else that happens to come up (special elections, etc.)

There is no more degenerate kind of state than that in which the richest are supposed to be the best.

I need to do some research as the last time I looked into these issues was in 1990 at lunch in high school.
