It's always refreshing to see a celebrity publicly stating that their family is more important than their job. It helps set an example for others to follow.

Of course, when you're the Leader of the Free World, it isn't exactly the done thing - especially when it looks like you're jonesing.

Our President is certainly a man of firsts. Deferring to a fellow Soros President in such a manner would certainly be one of them. I bet he's the first one to make people wish for Carter. McCain would have been even worse...

Elections are such a fucking farce. I can only hope that people have their brains plugged in during future elections, rather than letting their emotions take control in the voting booth. Given the way things are going, though, we'll be lucky to have another one.

I've stopped voting by dmg (4.00 / 1) #1 Sat Dec 11, 2010 at 08:56:15 AM EST
I urge everyone else to do the same. Imagine an election where nobody turned up. That would send a powerful message.

all the old retired folks have nothing else to do but vote.  i think that's part of the problem in this country - they are the only ones who vote!

"You don't have to bother making your platform palatable to most people because most people aren't going to show up to vote."

There is no more degenerate kind of state than that in which the richest are supposed to be the best.

Uk turnout is only about 60% of registered voters anyway. I just wish more people saw through the charade and stopped rubber stamping it.
