Back.
Cleaning.
Stuff.

So my back appears to be out again.  It was feeling like it does when it's ready to just call it quits, a bit on Friday when I went to the gym.  Saturday I went for a bike ride, and had no issues.  Today I had no issues until I went to mop the floor and then, oh yeah there's that tightness and pain I've missed.

I finished the mopping, half heartedly, and skipped the rest of the cleaning.  Cooking supper was okay, except when I had to take the chops out of the oven.  Of course when it comes to my back, when I think it can't get any worse.  It does.  I ate on the couch, watching some football.  And when I was done.  Oh crap, I don't think I can get up while holding my plate.

It has all the same symptom as last year.  Stiffness.  Pain.  Sitting is better than standing.  Walking is meh, until I get going. Bending over is nigh impossible.  I've gone though the last few days and I've not done anything out of the ordinary. I've been walking at lunch, but nothing all that strenuous.

And to think I was debating on doing some lifting at the gym.  Oh no, says my back.  Hopefully this doesn't last like it did last year.  I was a mess, so much so I went to the Urgent care.  And she being a DO didn't feel like pain meds were needed.  She did sign me up for some therapy, which didn't do anything.  In fact walking up the slight incline at the grocery store is what 'released' the stiffness and tightness and I was good to go.

Cleaned today. Got the bathroom and kitchen all done before I was sidelined.  The rest of pretty much just clearing stuff up and throwing away, anyway.

This whole back thing is discouraging and disheartening because I've been at a weight plateau for a while now, and just this week I've started to see a small and slow decrease in the weight.  Because I had stuck to hitting the bike more.  Bleh.

On my bike ride yesterday I had to wait 30 minutes to get through town because it's fall foliage time and apparently people come from all over to look at the leaves.  Except out here the leaves are not really changing.  I rode down to the overflow lot and it was full.  Places all along downtown with space were charging $5 a car to park.  Insane.  The farmers market moved down there the last two weekends.  I did not go.  There is no way I'm paying five bucks AND fighting with traffic to get my peppers.  And what's worse is that two of the vendors I like were not even going to be there.

I went for my bike ride at 5, thinking the crap would be over by then.  Oh no.  But by 6:30 when I came back through, town was almost empty of cars.

The river is much higher than it was 2 weeks ago.  All that rain, and the needs to release the excess from the flood control dams is the cause of that.

Anyway.  Post this.

when the Beer distributor is selling spots for people to park at 5 bucks a pop, you know it's a crazy day in Thorpe.

No fun at all.

There is no more degenerate kind of state than that in which the richest are supposed to be the best.

laying down after working and stretching a bit seemed to help.  Now I have to get the garbage to the curb, and the dishes washed.
