Help!

...has been severely curtailed the last week or so.

Part of it is good. Welsh Girl got a contract writing job that might be long term. If the talk she has been given is true, it could last for years. Of course, she is a contractor so I know that the proverbial mileage may vary. Unfortunately, her work involves being without Despoina (meaning I have more baby duty) and a workspace (meaning she uses my computer). Hence my home activity is curtailed.

Part is not as good. The office manager at my job dropped an informal word in my ear. Apparently, not only am I the employee that consumes the most bandwidth at work, but I beat the next person three to one. What kind of non-news nellies do I work with? It's not like I'm streaming music or torrenting Hollywood at work... But, because they're starting to monitor and stuff, I'm cutting back at work.

So, basically, I have about 15 minutes a day to use my various computer related *-fu. And you folks just got five of mine for today. I hope you're happy. I sure am. I was starting to experience withdrawals there for a minute...

Not streaming or DLing? by BadDoggie (2.00 / 0) #2 Sat Sep 12, 2009 at 07:20:05 AM EST
The best defense is a good offense. Is it really true that not a single one of your lazy, shiftless cow-orkers can be bothered to keep up with current events including %Relevant%business%concern? Someone needs to keep his fucking ear to the ground for the good of the company.

woof.

OMG WE'RE FUCKED! -- duxup ?

i hope they'd take into account what i do all day when looking at my bandwidth consumption...though most of my traffic is internal, i still visit external sites for business reasons quite often.
