Print Story Another Thin Man

I do so want to be like Nick and Nora when we grow up. Had kefta kebab sandwiches last night for dinner and watched Another Thin Man. Was going to go out, but it seemed more reasonable to stay in.

Went to the gym last night, managed to do the assigned work, though squats were a little shaky. On the last clean of the day, I hit my chin and bit my tongue. Bad form! I had to go in. I would've gone insane otherwise. Good grief, what will I do in August when I move out of the neighborhood? University gyms where the athletes work out are generally good places to be if you want to do real lifting because they will have the equipment for olympic lifting and powerlifting. I'm sure I'll find something near the neighborhood I end up in. I see that one of the crossfit gyms in Chicago even has a couple olympic lifting days per week, which would probably be exactly the sort of thing I want.

Speaking of which, I'm pretty much at 105kg, which was my target when I was at 97kg. I think I really need to be at least 110kg, looking at myself now. I'm still pretty skinny.

We're so busy running around all the time. I need to get some stuff in order. Namely, I think it's about time to start looking for apartments for August, definitely need to start arranging reception venues for mid-October.

AAAAAAAAH. I was going to recommend going to Duke of Perth for all-you-can-eat fish and chips, which they have on Wednesdays and Fridays, but I'm just not feeling it today. Maybe I'll recommend it. I could use the fish. I could use the company. So I just sent out an e-mail asking around.

My right thumb is a little sore. So is the top of my right knee: I need to watch that one.

Somebody tried to suggest doing it on Friday instead. I should have worded it that I am going to Duke of Perth tonight, does anybody else want to come? I'm otherwise engaged on Friday.

More Don Quixote. Not as much as I would like. It's starting to pick up.

More work. Bleh.

can always be difficult. I try to follow your second option, saying I'm doing this, anyone want to come, instead of saying we should do something, what do you guys suggest. Then you get 10 suggestions from 5 people, all at different dates and times that takes forever for anything to agree to.

One joke response, a couple nos, a bunch of silence. Without any positive responses, I won't go, but I know that at 7:45 somebody will call and say, "Dude, where are you? I'm at Duke of Perth."

I really could do with an evening in, though.

They're good on radio, too.

I love those movies.
