I went to the gym last night. I finally have time, see. Though I can't get back to strength and power just yet because I have this 3.5 mile run thing on Thursday and I don't want to look too silly during it. Still, last night I picked up (moderately) heavy things and put them down. I didn't load myself too heavily; I felt I could've jumped a bit with the weight I was squatting (bodyweight) and I was picking up my deadlifts faster than I was putting them down. Still, it's wise to take it easy when you're just getting back after a layoff. Am debating whether to run today or rest today and run tomorrow. Part of the answer to this question is whether I will have time. I need to be on Montrose around 7:30. I need to be at 71st around 5:30. I would do something short, like 5x800 at 3:40 pace and enough time between to recover. I would need to shower and change. I don't know, I might have time. Depends on how traffic is getting back from the shop.
Going to some theater show tonight. It won't be great theater or great acting, but it should be fun in its own way.
And I just plotted a ~800m course near my place starting and stopping at a playground. Might as well do pullups while recovering from the runs.
Looks like I won't get any reading done this evening, either. Drat. I like reading. Well, maybe after the show.
I would be lying if I said I had almost forgotten how much I enjoy Olivia Tremor Control's "Dusk at Cubist Castle". However, I haven't listened to it for a while. I've been listening to it again. There we go. True story.
