Print Story Sitting in the eye of the week's storm

I have drafted, analysed and dispatched for comment everything that needs to be for this week.
I sit now, in the eye of the storm, waiting for the flurry of work to return as the commenters assess and get back to me.
It has been one helluva week. And there's another 212 of them (give or take) coming my way.

Things I like about specialist PM software (OmniPlan)
- It prevents me making idiotic typo scheduling errors
- The automatic gantt chart generation helps me visualise things better and identify 'OMG TOO MUCH WORK' times.
- It worries about coding/numbering.

Things I do not like
- It does not deal elegantly with recurring tasks
- It does not deal elegantly with the idea of extremely fragmented and bursty effort/resource
- It brings out my inner compartmentaliser too much - it is too easy to do sub-sub-sub-sub-tasks and all kinds of fun dependency spaghetti, and forget the bigger picture.

Post it notes on your monitor cannot be beaten under any circumstance.

You can't beat the pleasure of physically crossing items off your to-do list.

I, too, am a proponent of the post-it note school of project management. Best part is ripping them off the monitor, crumpling them up, and throwing them in the bin after you realise you just can't be arsed to do it anywayhave finished.
