The decision you need to make is, "will he have to slam on his brakes" not "will he have time to slam on his brakes." If you decide on following the latter before pulling out in front of me, you have failed.

Luckily for you, I did not fail.

It wouldn't annoy me near as much if there wasn't a span of infinity behind me with no vehicles. Dude could have waited thirty seconds and been completely clear to pull that big-ass pickup from hell out as slowly as he wanted to. But no, big rush, gotta get out on the road and drive fifteen miles an hour under the speed limit.

That's two days in a row with similar events on the way into work.

This does not set me up for a good mood for the day.

Everyone around here needs a pick-up or an Escalade, for some reason. The apparent prerequisite for driving these vehicles is an inability to drive well.

Yes, I do subscribe the idea that those of us little rice rockets drive better than the rest of you. Cuz it's true.

And draw your dream's rainbow. You have to go through fire and water. When problems stand in the way of success.

Sometimes it's just that a soccer mom used to driving a little Honda can't apply exactly the same driving skills to that twenty-six passenger SUV she's driving today.

And the assholes driving the big-ass SUVs are sometimes the same guys that drive motorcycles on the weekend, so they think they can dart in and out of traffic the same way with a big truck.

I had to drive my dad's Escalade into town for him one day and I HATED it. Reminded me of driving a tractor with a sixteen ton load of silage on behind me. Couldn't see shit, had no ability to change momentum at any give moment, no manueverabilitiy. Essentially, you're driving a monster truck, but everybody in this area seems to see them as absolutely necessary. They couldn't possibly fit that briefcase and their monster coffee into a tiny little CAR!
