It's been a month since I last dropped in at HuSi. I thought it was a couple weeks.  I guess I've been busy.

Right now the School Committee and Loyal Order of Water Buffaloes are in summer hiatus so  I have some time back.  Now it's just work.  As work goes I've been splitting my time between Hometown and the Corporate Office.  So three out of five days I have a short commute, thus two extra hours a day.

The campaign HQ of the candidate I'm supporting for state senate was vandalized.  There's a brief article about it on the  local paper's website.  Also some cctv security camera footage was posted at You Tube.  The video doesn't show much, just the perp.  It's obvious that a supporter of the opponent did the vandalism, but what can you do unless the local cops can figure out who did it. Which they won't.

In the past week General Wesley Clark commented on John McCain's qualificaton to be CiC.  The comment was that being shot down over Vietnam and held as a POW didn't provide executive or command level experience.  It was right, it doesn't, and it shouldn't take a retired General to point it out.  I  rather enjoyed the footage of McCain this week.  He sounds like he's about to cry.  I'm not sure if it's just a sign of being old and tired or if he's  really hurt.   Either way his time  is over, he needs to go to the home and take a rest.

I'm sure over the last month  there's been a bunch of stuff that I've wanted to post about, but haven't found the time.  Now  that's  I finally have a little  time I can't think of any of it.

All you Yanks, have a fine Independence Day.  Enjoy it until  someone in the government decides that American Independence makes the Chinese Communists feel  offended.
