1988 was one of the earliest times I can remember really caring about a sporting event. Which seems odd because I would have been 15 at the time, and I would have thought well old enough to be obsessed about such things. I do remember caring about the Royals in '85 and the Jayhawks one other time during the tournament before '88 (I remember they lost to Duke so quite probably that was '86), but aside from those highlights, not much. Guess maybe I didn't consider some of those sports memories more important that Transformers trivia or something.

Anyway, yeah, a Kansas sports team finally came through again. 20 years between championships really isn't that long to suffer I realize (Hi Bob!), but still it's nice to have something recent to point to.

Not much else going on really. Jenn's still pregnant and still doing fine, as are the twins. We had an appointment with our regular OB last week, saw both of them squirming again. Jenn's going to be considered high risk so it sounds like we'll be having sonograms every two weeks for the foreseeable future, along with probably appointments with a high risk specialist and possible bed rest later on. We're just passing the first trimester right about now, still about 6 months or so to go. I'm sitting here right now thinking about how I really should get all the stuff that needs to get done (clear out the babies future room, I'm sure it'll need to be painted, finish getting the basement in order, etc) in the second trimester. May, June and July will be over before they begin.

Damn Pandora, stop playing Jack Johnson already.
