Fuck Off.

At least until I replace the two pairs of relatively waterproof shoes I've worn through the linings of recently. I have currently quite wet (and probably pinker than normal) socks and feet. I also have a dull ache in the middle of my shoulderblades that I should attend to before it gets worse.

Today is such a 5% day. As in, I'm trying to finish off about 5 docs simultaneously but the last bits are all the tricky ones so there is a lot of sitting, frowning, and staring into space while I work out how to sort these last bits out. I would not be surprised if all I have to show at the end is a pile of shadow-work and five unchanged documents. Pleh. Hate days like this. I used to go tidy up config files or something when I had similar issues before but now I have none of those and making up work for myself is trickier.

Am hungry, despite lunch. Something involving gravy and potato would be really good right now.

Wasn't yerp/UK supposed to get the massive storm we had over the weekend ? Gosh. We got 2.41" of rain Friday to  Saturday. Then 30-40 mph wind most of Saturday. Thought trees would be falling down all over in that wind.. Seems it only got stronger crossing the Atlantic..

UK/Ireland got it by Merekat (4.00 / 1) #2 Wed Mar 12, 2008 at 11:09:11 AM EST
Here, it just looks like gusts and spring showers to me.

England, Wales and the RoI got it.  The 'B'BC was reporting that the "North" of the UK was battered by yadda yadda, then eventually changed it to "West" after the stuck-pig squealing from the usual "Offended, Caledonia" suspects.  I suspect that they do it on purpose now.  It's good to have a hobby.
