Last week, I had a brilliant idea by MohammedNiyalSayeed (4.00 / 4) #1 Mon Feb 18, 2008 at 07:59:19 PM EST

while riding to work with the roommate on the one day she stayed at the apartment. I suggested that once the iPhone app dev kit was public, I should write an app for her that plays a kick drum, a hi-hat, a snare, another hi-hat, then repeats forever, with a tempo dial, and that this application could supplant her entire iPhone music library, thus freeing up tons of space. I didn't know what else to put in the space, but it still seems the optimum solution, considering the contents.

"Workout music", she calls it.

You can build the most elegant fountain in the world, but eventually a winged rat will be using it as a drinking bowl.
techno generator by MillMan (4.00 / 2) #4 Mon Feb 18, 2008 at 08:33:16 PM EST
Feasible with a software version of the 303 and 606.

When I'm imprisoned as an enemy combatant, will you blog about it?

pretty amusing but not random.

This might be kind of fun by 606 (2.00 / 0) #14 Tue Feb 19, 2008 at 06:36:42 PM EST
Bear with me for a minute. What we do is we make an app that randomly selects a number of sampled loops from an organized set of types (drums, basslines, melody (in key), sound effects) then we play them using a number of dance song templates (which basically involve starting, stopping, putting effects on, and pitch shifting various loops) and we actually do sell it as the Workout Music Generator. And you select your workout duration (30 minutes, 45, 1 hour) and it changes the tempo over that time period for optimal energy distribution over warmup, workout, and cooldown phases.

And we sell it and we make lots of money.

Dude. We could actually do this.

some additional statistics by R343L (4.00 / 3) #2 Mon Feb 18, 2008 at 08:19:22 PM EST
Number of same-sex female "couples" who aren't really a couple and just dance together flamboyantly and annoyingly at the front of the dance floor pushing others out in a way that is ... annoying: 1.

Number of almost blisters received by R343L: 3 per foot (approximate)

Number of half-drunk beer bottles on a table at around 2:30am: 7.

Number of full, seemingly untouched beer bottles on a table at around 2:30am: 1.

Number of above taken by some girl after making sure they weren't under the protection or ownership of R343L: 2.

Pairs of nice breasts viewed: too many to count.

Attractive men who aren't too young (by the n/2+7 rule): depressingly low.

Men old enough to be my father: depressingly high (but all asian, so it's not like they really could be my father).

Number of mohawks seen: at least five.

Twas a good dance party. I didn't drink any booze at the venue (and only a couple drinks before), so I was pretty much sober which is always a challenge for maintaining activity levels. But dancing is always fun.

Those who browse-n-blog at <cough> really should have images tuned off, or else feel the burn of Epic Boobs burning in the back of their eyes! Thaswhathappenswenyewblogat<cough>

Good news is I don't typically post naked people without AMPLE warning. I wouldn't do that. Hope no one sprung a woody over your shoulder when you reloaded this thread.

So do I. by Driusan (4.00 / 1) #12 Tue Feb 19, 2008 at 01:39:45 PM EST
Anyone past puberty who would spring a woody at those monstrocities doesn't really deserve a penis.

Some women really do have boobs that big. by vorheesleatherface (2.00 / 0) #17 Thu Feb 21, 2008 at 10:35:07 AM EST
And it isn't abnormal for men to like them. To say someone who likes them doesn't deserve a penis, well, that's just plain not nice.

Then again, some girls are also really good at lifting and padding for a funny picture. The picture said "lesbian." You were too busy looking at the boobs to notice, huh?

huh. by MillMan (4.00 / 2) #3 Mon Feb 18, 2008 at 08:30:59 PM EST
I've never seen old Asians at a club playing techno.

Pre-show myspace/facebook photo sessions are ubiquitous these days.

When I'm imprisoned as an enemy combatant, will you blog about it?
