Hey all.  I need to pick your brains.  Or your Google-Fu.

I am looking for a pancake mold in the shape of a shark for my wife.

I can't seem to find one.  I can find lame-o heart shaped molds, but not a shark-shaped one.

Any ideas?

There's a dolphin mold here:

Should be able to turn that into a shark without too much effort.

Its not ideal, but it would work.

The question is if the material is pan-safe, meaning is it meant to get up to temperature, and the other problem is that shape appears to be part of their "custom" line, with no way to order it.

Yes, and call them. by notafurry (4.00 / 1) #3 Tue Dec 16, 2008 at 12:30:47 PM EST
It's a cookie/cake mold, and their molds are typically made from food-safe stainless steel. They're a commercial supplier, they don't do non-food safe items (and yes, that does include taking it up to temperature.)

And you mostly order their stuff over the phone, custom or standard. They sell retail, they just don't focus on it, so they don't spend much on coddling the single-item buyers. But their products are top-quality.
