Weekend weather forecast is for snow.

I quite fancy a waddle up a large hill/small mountain, some sledging and perhaps some gluhwein to wrap it all up. Here's hoping the weather delivers on the promise.

House sale is on the final final slope - should be complete at end of month. Any going back now will cost them quite a lot of money. Apparently people who drop their house price in order to sell are getting nasty visits from their neighbours complaining about the local property prices being lowered. This is in neighbourhoods where the going rate was over one million euro for what is functionally just a family home in the suburbs. If someone tried that with me, I'd tell them I was cutting another 10% just to get away from them.

My lack of work motivation is biting hard. It will probably hit me hard with a first non-stellar review since I joined the workforce. Still, the end is in sight. Trouble is, I would rather watch it approach than mop up my current things.

I can't believe that! by Tonatiuh (2.00 / 0) #1 Thu Nov 20, 2008 at 10:05:40 AM EST
I don't think here in the UK such a thing could happen, it is intrinsically un-British.

I would become very aggressive if neighbours would do such a thing ....

indicates that Ireland is a nation of begrudgers. There is some truth it in, though the phrase itself is normally used in defense of  corrupt policiticans.
