I have a meeting with the boss today to talk about possible new projects and where I see myself going in this position in the short and medium term. I'm wondering how honest to be: in the nine months I've been in this position, I haven't learned a thing and haven't been challenged at all and don't really see either of those happening. I don't even know what they really want from this role and I'm not sure what they want, either. My short and medium term plans are to wait until I'm eligible to move within the company and then try to get a job elsewhere in the company while occasionally applying to external jobs. But, then again, the boss (who I never ever talk to, I think this is the second one-on-one meeting we've had here) mentioned a couple projects she thought might be interesting that are coming up.

Oy.
