All in all, it was a pretty good year.

Some friends died, and some had babies.  Went to more weddings than funerals (overall, in life, the weddings:funerals ratio is > 1.00). In general, life happened, as it is wont to do.

Spent lots of time at the beach surfing, looking at pretty girls, sunning, looking at pretty girls, swimming, looking at pretty girls, and also looking at pretty girls.

Went skiing and white water rafting, but not simultaneously.

Quit smoking, finally, after 20+ years.  Stayed quit (so far...)  Still chasing skirts, however, so it's not like I'm a monk or anything like that. Not that there's anything wrong with staying home, alone, with no ...  And who am I kidding?  If I wanted to be lonely and miserable I'd start drinking again.  Loneliness and misery would surely follow.

Lost one job, got a better one.

Went to Utah to visit Dad, twice. While there went to the Utah Shakespearean Festival. Have now seen every Shakespeare play at least once, some several times.

Still in debt, but less than before. May get out of debt completely in 2008. Maybe. Not counting on it.

Only 133 days until Beach Season!

even Troilus and Cressida? by gzt (2.00 / 0) #1 Fri Jan 04, 2008 at 09:38:55 AM EST
Seriously? I'd believe "Every Shakespeare play that people actually perform," I guess.

And Pericles.  The USF has done all of the canon.

Going to Utah by moonvine (2.00 / 0) #5 Fri Jan 04, 2008 at 02:52:03 PM EST
to ski this winter. Really excited!

Yes. I am most elated that the year 2007 is now, a thing of the past. Good fucking riddance. With the exceptions of my best friend, professor, family, and awesome new job, it was the giant SUCKAGE.

Things to watch for by wiredog (2.00 / 0) #6 Fri Jan 04, 2008 at 02:58:20 PM EST
The resorts are at higher altitudes.  Give yourself a day to adjust.  Take tylenol and drink water for the altitude headaches.

Pay attention to avalanche warnings, and stay in the ski area.  They've already lost some skiers to avalanches.

Don't plan on heavy drinking.  It's Utah.
