Yesterday, I had a very simple dinner. Scalloped potatoes and a whole rainbow trout baked in the oven, stuffed with shallots and lemon and seasoned simply with salt and pepper and a small dab of butter. Food for one person, not 6, cooked simply and with no fuss.
Today, I think I shall go for homemade carbonara, the egg-no-cream version, which I generally prefer and which again is better cooked in small quantities. Then I shall have a bath while reading a crappy sword-and-sorcery style fantasy novel, go to bed early and sleep long and deep so that I can have the energy to have fun at the weekend.
At the weekend, I will ideally go up a mountain and have snow crunch under my feet.
