Huddle up everybody

  • The new tyres are gripping and ripping. She's handling much better too. Might have something to do with the fact that one tyre doesn't have 20 psi more than the other tyre. That tends to make the wheels wobble and pulls the carriage to one side. Oh sure, that's helpful on some turns, but in the long run the cons outweigh the pros in that regard.
  • WTF? The "zestimate" is 40 g's less than the asking price??? Sure, the zestimate is low, but 40g's low?
  • Congrats to the New York Mets!! MWUAHAHAHAHAHA
  • I'm taking next week off "work" but won't be doing anything but hanging about and not spending money. Sweet mother of fuck, my Visa card went from zero to $1,500 what with the new guitar and tyres and a new batch of whey protein. So that means Uncle Bob won't be blowing any R&R cash. I guess I can do some constructive stuff like dust light bulbs and shave my anus.
  • One thing I want to do is finish the new Smooth Jazz song I've been working on. I know I know, it's not like I sat down and tried to write a Smooth Jazz song, in fact I don't think that's possible. Nay, it just sorta came out and once I got the basic verse/chorus worked out I thought "Damn, that's the best guitar work I've ever done and I can't even tell anyone about it because it sounds like Smooth Fucking Jazz. So screw that, I plan on finishing it up and releasing it under an assumed name.
  • Right. I am going away this weekend though. Me and some friends are renting this Bed and Breakfast house in the deep deep country for a get-out-of-the-big-citee weekend of fun. Well, fun being walking through the forest or sitting in a field and reading or whatever. Other than the 14 hour drive it should be a jolly good weekend. Plus the Maulers should come out at 4 and oh after this week.

The B&B is actually owned by some pals of one of my pals. We've gone there before and it's a right enjoyable time. It's kinda like The Big Chill, only not like The Big Chill at all.

Warmest regards,

where the only thing flaming is the Cuyahoga river.

I think Bob should move to New York City and embrace his alternativeness.

about the new fashions. You don't shave your anus now, but bleach it. I still wonder, doesn't that burn ?

they're trying to sell the house as quickly as possible to avoid the repo man, and only trying to get enough out to pay the bank not make a profit.

my aunt bought a house in a similar situation, it worked out well for her.

Except by Bob Abooey (2.00 / 0) #8 Fri Sep 28, 2007 at 04:02:01 PM EST
The estimate for the house is $129,000 and they're asking $170,000. So if they want to sell the house as quickly as possible asking $40,000 over what it's worth probably isn't a good way to go about it.

I'm guessing it's really worth about $145,000 or so, so maybe they're asking 170 in the hopes that someone bites. Crazy in todays market.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I've found zillow to be highly unreliable by lm (2.00 / 0) #10 Fri Sep 28, 2007 at 08:36:49 PM EST
The Headache House, it guestimates at being worth 40k. This is a house that's been on the market for over a year at 25k or less and hasn't had more than a half dozen inquiries and no offers.

The house I live in, it undervalues by about 25%.

Ye Olde House of Doome, it has about right on the money.
