When the iRaqii Air Force bombed our twin towers...

We got those bastards back though. Taught em a thing or two, that's for darn sure. It'll be a cold day in Hell before iRaq goes bombing our stuff again!! Praise Jesus!

In other news - to recap the Snack RFQ I put out last week, I bought some banana's, a bundle of them. I did have a rather hard time tracking down some dried berries though as I was under some time constraints, so I grabbed a box of low-fat Granola with raisins, which, sadly, is a bit tooo sugary and while it tastes good, for sure, and it's crunchy, no doubt, it doesn't serve to fend off hunger as the sugar part, while giving a short-term blast of energy, tends to burn out quickly and makes you hungry all over again, which, is a bit of a catch-22, in the most purest sense of the word/phrase.

HuSi Fantasy Football Week One Roundup

Even though I made two grievous tactical errors (starting Philip "I suck" Rivers, and the Dallas "defence") I still managed to lead the heralded HuSi Maulers to a win, scoring the second highest number of points behind Millmen, who may be shaping up to be a formidable foe. Cammo's Whammos looks tough too, who the Maulers happen to go up against in a week two meeting. We'll be separating the boys from the men soon enough by the looks of things.

we all know it was IRAN that houses those forces of terra'. It's IRAN that must be punished for continuing to go after WMDs. Gosh, haven't you been reading the papers ? We must act now, and act decisively to deter the thread that is IRAN.

Snacks: Bob, most fruit (esp dried stuff) also has a boatload of sugar. A not-too-commonly disclosed fact. Thus the tuna/sardines suggestion from someone else, or the nutritious hummus.

It's like you've instituted your own personal scoring cap for the betterment of the league.  Bravo.

Picked up the Vikes, although that may only be a short term solution. I may play the hot hand and the best matchups with the def's this year.

Their pass D is still suspect but they can score points and they're blitzing more often this year.

They play Det who will be looking to light it up with their passing attack this week. Still, they can't be any worse than Dallas was.

Randy Moss is back from the dead.

When I'm imprisoned as an enemy combatant, will you blog about it?

If Moss plays hard all year you're going to be tough to beat. Jones and Betts on the bench??? How the hell did you end up with all those guys.

I only tweaked the first two rounds of the predraft rankings. Lot of RBs splitting carries these days, though, which makes it all even more of a crapshoot.

I love that I got Wes Walker in the late rounds. Since Moss is back in old form Walker will probably play in single coverage all year.

    I'd just like to point out by jayhawk88 (2.00 / 0) #9 Tue Sep 11, 2007 at 01:18:13 PM EST
...that if I had played anyone other than Millman this week I would have gotten a win. I know, and if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle, but Kitna looked good, TO is happy, Henry got 23 carries...I was a little hesitant with this team starting out but I like what I saw week 1.

about a team that you didn't even really draft yourself....at least for me.

It's more fun when you win by Bob Abooey (4.00 / 2) #16 Tue Sep 11, 2007 at 01:48:14 PM EST
You're right though, but it can still be fun trying to take the hand dealt to you and make the best of it.

That said - I'm in another league that did a live draft and I led the league with 204 points scored in week one.

I could quite possibly be a fantasy football genius.

. . . have been migrating to Iraq?!?

    . . . you've been watching too much television.

"To paint Iraq as an innocent player in 9/11 may be correct"?!? MAY be? Your top gov't reps LIED about it, and we now know that they knew it was a lie. There hasn't been a shred of proof of any association between 9/11 and Iraq, even though in a Zogby poll I just saw, something like 85% of troops serving there believe otherwise. Guess it makes the rationale for an illegal occupation and genocide easier.

There is also absolutely NO PROOF of ANY al-quaeda forces in Iraq, other than military officials and CIA telling us that any bad guy casualties were, in fact, alkaida sympathisers. The level of propoganda from this war has reached Orwellian proportions.

    Get informed.
