Seems to me this comment may be the most sensible thing anybody's said on the subject in a good long time.
Otherwise, how are things? Simon is still at the vet's. We're told they're installing a tube today that'll go from his neck to his esophagus. With suitable drugs, he may be home in a day or two.
This is quite the emotional roller coaster. It's horrible, seeing him so sick. But there's a pretty good chance he can pull through all this. And it's some kind of a testament to something, that we keep hooking up with critters, even though their lifetimes are short.
