did i ask this already? i want to know, is there just one ticket i can buy for all the public transports? like the bus, and BART.

Or do i have to have $1.50 in coins to pay the driver. every time.

and the BART, I have no idea.

the answer is no by MillMan (2.00 / 0) #1 Mon Jun 11, 2007 at 01:48:06 PM EST
Transit in the bay area is run by about 200 different government organizations that don't like each other.

For BART, put 5 or 10 bucks on a ticket. You pay based on how far you travel so you have to swipe the card when you enter as well as exit (works just like the tube in London if you've been there).

and my cookie expired swallowing my post.

Millman's right: each county operates its own local service, and then there are two major regional services. There isn't really a pass that's good on all of them.

Muni allows you to pay $15 for a weekly pass good on all san francisco bus/light rail/cable car routes; that's your best bet if you're hanging out mostly in san francisco. See here for details.
