Harry likes to make life hard for himself

I really like Harry, even though he likes to make life harder for himself. I still don't get why he couldn't be straight with Murphy. I mean, he didn't have to tell her about the White Council but there were things that he could have told her, about his suspicions and about Marcone and his man... He had to know that she would go and investigate anyway. Wasn't it better for her to do it informed rather than blind? On the other hand, Murphy was riding Harry pretty hard and sometimes she just went too far, she was too nasty and bitchy when it wasn't necessary, Harry wasn't the bad guy, after all. Who I really liked was Susan. What a cool girl!

STORMING FANTASTIC

I have seen these books on the shelves in numerous book stores but neither bothered to pick them up, imagining it too be more boring contempary Sci fi. What a mistake I have made!
Storm Front is a truly fantastic page turner, that leaves you wanting much much more. The book builds in intensity and explodes at the end, leaving a whole world of possibilities.

I like Jim Butchers witty one liners and the rollercoaster pace of the book, this has to be a film at some point.

Having researched the books now, i know their are 11 books to date and hopefully 20 in the series. I have just bought the 5 more and hope to find them just as enjoyable.

Storm Front - Jim Butcher

This is the first in the series of Dresden files by Jim Butcher. Good read, I am looking forward to reading more of these books.

Magical fun for adults

I'm not usually a huge fan of fantasy novels set in the 'real world' but here I really enjoyed the read. Snappy and fast paced, I devoured this book in one sitting and have bought the next three in the series (I am trying to pace myself with them).

fast-paced page turner

Fast-paced, page turner and thouroughly engrossing. Story-telling quality is 5 out of 5. Reader can connect with characters and world-building creativity is magical and believable. The entire series is addictive. All the books in the Dresden Files series always ends with a climax. No cliffhanger endings for Jim Butcher, so always a satisfying read. Every book has a story, no just-middle-part-of-a-bigger-book like some series does.
