As some of you may or may not be aware, there is an election imminent in the mountain hill lumpy kingdom of Wales. For those overseas peeps who don't quite know how this works, it breaks down as follows. Jockland has a number of significant powers devolved to it from Westminster, so the Jockian Parliament takes care of those issues for Scotland. Wales is similar, but has fewer powers devolved to it.
There are no tax-raising powers available to the Welsh assembly, but the assembly decides how to spend Wales' slice of the tax cut, rather than it being decided from Westminster. The Welsh do have control over Health and Education, though; and policy differs in Wales from that in England.
