That also raises the question of where I, as a middle class parent, will send my kids. I have to admit I'm a little leery of sending them to a Ivy League or near Ivy League school, since I don't want them to be the poorest nonscholarship kids there. Classism is ugly, as is tuition in the $23k a year 2007 dollars.
Mrs. Ha's job is going better, but the after care thing is still a pain, and who knows what the summer will bring. We need year round school, from 8 to 5 every day.
Again, I overrate your typical slashdotter's knowledge of business. In the HP leasing story, a hug enumber of folks were ignorant of how often expensive equipment gets leased. They were also ignorant of how a small photo paper company rocketed into the Fortune 100 by leasing their nifty plain paper dry copying machine and charging a few pennies per copy. Then again it happened in 1959, ancient history to many.
We're thinking of helping ten year old get her desired DS Lite today. A basic kit and getting Nintendo dogs will run $ 160 plus tax. The big Walmart bundle at $199 looks very reasonable, but then you're supporting Walmart. I suppose Circuit City is right out, and I don't like Best Buy either. The mall game stores run $5 or $10 higher. I may just go to Target, I like them, and they buy $corp products. Where should we go?
