An actual winter storm.

Also, GIG!

It's happily blizzarding out there. If it can be described as having emotions, at least. So far perhaps two inches of snow lie on the ground, with predictions for perhaps a total of 6 before it turns to rain in the wee hours of Saturday morning. As it is written...
Have you marked the fall of the snow
Before the earth hath slushed it?*
The traffic tools tell me it's ugly out there. I hope they all get where they're going, leaving work early, in time for us to go home unimpeded when regular quitting time comes. It often works that way.

It's Friday at last. It's been nice most of the week, actually; nice enough to go out to lunch more than once. Somehow I'm tired enough to sleep a good long while, and I'm not sure why. I'm subsisting

This sunday night at 5 we're doing evensong, featuring a magnificat and Nunc Dimittis setting by Healy Willan, and a motet Ne Irascaris by William Byrd, which I covered a part of, here for MFC 7. It'll be fun.

I posted a few comments on the MFC X entries as they occurred to me, whilst trying to decide which of the excellent entries to vote for. I cut the whole shebang to a CD and drove around with it in my car's CD player for a week before deciding. Really strong entries this time, and I'm pleased to see the women of husi beginning to contribute (well, misslake sang on a SMUT winner once).

... another piece of mostly useless information that's stuck in my brain. This one from seventh grade.

You're subsisting ...? Seems like there should be more to that. The blizzard does seem quite content, from where I'm sitting, though I'm not sure if that's the proper it. Hope you got home safe; it's slippery.

weather forecast by Merekat (2.00 / 0) #2 Fri Mar 16, 2007 at 12:43:52 PM EST
A news article today said arctic weather is due next week. Have these people ever been to the arctic?

I think... by ana (2.00 / 0) #3 Fri Mar 16, 2007 at 12:47:13 PM EST
it's weather from the arctic. What with the arctic being a great place to be from (as far from as possible).
