A panorama that was taken in Tignes, in the French Alps. Polarising filters are great fun!

I did post another pic a mere ... um, well, nine days ago.

Damn.

I really need to take some more photos.

Anyway, it's actually assembled using Photoshop's inbuilt photo stitching thingy, which usually does a terrible job but this time seemed to come up with something that looks reasonable if you don't spot the slight colour change in the sky halfway across...

Another good thing about polarising filters is how cheap they are.

Still haven't got my camera...

It's political correctness gone mad!

It is unfair and rude towards people by komet (2.00 / 0) #4 Thu Mar 01, 2007 at 01:39:02 AM EST
who do real panoramic photography to refer to a stiched image as a panorama.

to any pedants proper photographers who know the correct terminology.

On the other hand, the dictionary doesn't seem to make any distinction. Interestingly Wikipedia seems to suggest that stitching was the original method used:

Not long after the introduction of the Daguerreotype in 1839, photographers began assembling multiple images of a view into a single wide image.
