So as a followup to my Job Interview Diary, they didn't offer the job so I didn't have to negotiate a salary. I'm supposed to find out if I got the job within the next week or so.

I interviewed with about 7 or 8 people. It was pretty intense. The first meeting was with the HR lady, who was very nice. Her last question had to do if I had a salary requirement. I said I had a vague idea of what I'd accept. She said, "Do you want to share it with me?" It seemed inappropriate to say "no" so I told her. I don't know if that was a mistake or not.

Thanks to all of you who responded seriously to my last diary to try to help.

Job seeking is a whole lot of people saying "NO", until finally someone says "Yes".

That wasn't a mistake. Just remember to do your research on what the role is going for in the marketplace, and realistically estimate how good you are at it.

the first part may be doable, by garlic (4.00 / 1) #2 Tue Feb 27, 2007 at 01:48:13 AM EST
but the second is harder.

Approximate by amount of experience in the role you have.
