"Hey, do you like the WNBA?"

That reference will only make sense to me. Sorry.

Meant to post earlier, but fell asleep. Son's 9th birthday toyesterday. He received a mountain bike, a RC helicopter, and sundry other gifts. I hope the weather remains nice enough for him to fly it a few times.

Also, it appears that I can't set this for "No Comments", so don't get butt-hurt when I nuke your* snark.

* Note to Aspergians: Yes, this means you.

Happy belated by blixco (4.00 / 3) #1 Wed Oct 10, 2007 at 08:08:07 AM EST
9th birthday!

I actually well remember turning nine.  I got one of those water rocket things that you fill with water, then pump full of air and it takes off spraying water everywhere.

Used to shoot it at my brother.

This was a different sordid path.

One involving weapons.

Ages are so startling by debacle (4.00 / 1) #3 Wed Oct 10, 2007 at 09:24:00 AM EST
When he was born, I couldn't imagine my son walking and talking and having feelings and wants. I have no concept of what he will be like when he is nine.

The same goes for me, I guess. I surprise myself almost every day by dragging myself into the shower and then slogging off to work. At least the dreams are still there, sometimes.

Hang in there, it gets better. by Horatio Hellpop (4.00 / 1) #5 Wed Oct 10, 2007 at 09:53:27 PM EST
I'd be lost without my little Mini-Me.

I'd have no one to play video games with if it weren't for him.
