it's probably the ocean.

Ah no pics today though, I need to acquire some software to get everything all nicely on my website which I haven't touched in a few months.

trying to find roommates is weirder than dating
Apartment hunt is going slow, which sucks as I will be "homeless" in a few weeks. Few more places lined up to look at this week. One of the places I looked at last week I was willing to take - place was large, in a good location, and had two seemingly decent roomies. I threw my name in the hat and didn't hear back by the agreed upon date, so I figured they just took someone else. A bummer but hey, that's how it goes and I'll feel better once I use these razors on my arm. Then this morning while continuing my search I see their ad up again ...lol what? They rejected everyone! I'm not sure what human archetype they think they're going to find that they haven't already seen. Stupid humans.

Weekend
Finally, the good stuff...
I drove down to Monterey Saturday morning (in terrible traffic including a lot of fat Americans driving SUVs) to meet up with Lindze, whose drunk diary from Saturday night you may have read. We hung out at his local coffee shop for a bit and talked about the usual end of the world stuff. Then I wandered down to the beach to forget about said world, and the waves did their job. I walked a few miles down the beach, sat down, and fell asleep. My mind was empty. Met back up with Lindze in the evening and in order to keep my mind blank we went and got drunk. Played some cribbage and met his girlie at the bar as well. Pics (of the beach) will be forthcoming.

Do you have a tent? by georgeha (4.00 / 1) #1 Mon Jul 17, 2006 at 01:40:49 PM EST
Can you sleep in GG park, saying that you're still traumatized from the Loma Prieta quake, and you can't sleep indoors?

that is an option by MM (2.00 / 0) #2 Mon Jul 17, 2006 at 01:44:04 PM EST
SF certainly has great camping weather. I'd save a ton of money too.

My brother can attest to Santa Cruz by miker2 (4.00 / 2) #6 Mon Jul 17, 2006 at 06:10:41 PM EST
He's homeless a vagabond and he spent a lot of time in Cali, most of it in the Santa Cruz area.  Great weather, plenty of freely available food, and an imperial fuckload of pot available just by asking.

Ah, sociopathy. How warm, how comforting, thy sweet embrace. - MNS

"Say, didn't we already talk to you last time?"
"Nah, that was that other guy. You know, the jerk?"
"Oh...well, welcome aboard then!"
