and rather surprisingly the heavens opened and a fairly impressive deluge burst forth. I hid under a tree until it suddenly moved onwards, and then the low sun emerged hitting the ancient brickwork and tinting it the deep red that you can see in the photograph. I was lucky enough to capture a few shots before another cloud restored the scene to its previous appearance.

Oh, and I tweaked the saturation a bit in Photoshop.
