Whaddya think of the new Doctor Who?

I like the series; the passages are no longer made of cardboard, the special effects are much less artificial, but with still a connection to the "fun" in the older shows.

Have to say Billie Piper makes fairly watchable eye candy also. I realise this is going against the trend, but think I prefer her to the Battlestar Galactica candy.

Think that one-episode shows are too short, there's no "hide behind the sofa" moments that you have to wait a week or day for resolution.

Also, who else thinks the BBC missed a trick in not giving Anthony Head the role of The Master for repeat performances?

The Continuing Adventures of Rose and Ratboy in Space is doing pretty well. Ratboy is definitely a better actor than that gurning goon they had butchering the rôle last year, although they can leave off the emo-wank for a bit, thanks, super, bye bye now. And the Gallifrigian Mind Meld can fuck the fuck right off. The frippet continues to ooze charisma and talent, although we may have had our standards lowered by previous incarnations.

I else thinks they missed a trick.

That although objectively I know it's brilliant telly, I find Dr Who slightly annoying. It's hbecause it's geared towards a younger audience. I still watch it though.

I don't watch Dr Who because ~~I don't have a telly~~ my attention span is far too short to watch a whole TV program. At least with the facilities I have (14 inch TV at approximately 5 metres from the sofa.).

I'm sure she's washed since then though.
My attention span's a bit crap as well, I tend to read when I have the telly on. Most programmes are so simple you can happily read a book and have them on in the background. Dr Who's a bit more complicated and I think this is part of the reason it annoys me a bit - I actually have to sit and watch.
