Apparently, if you're three, it's really amusing to wipe your nose on other people.
In any case, I'd normally just grin and bare it, but for yesterday afternoon. At work, at 4, as I start to think about wrapping up, I felt fine. At 4:30, as I left, my ear felt a bit twingy. By the time I made it to BART (about twenty minutes) it was starting to seriously hurt. By the time I got to the home station, it was feeling like it was going to explode outward, the ringing in my ears was like a whistle going of full blast an inch away, and it had triggered a serious migraine. (The entire left side of my face ached, I was getting a bit tunnel vision out of one eye, etc.) I was seriously wondering if I should drive home.
At home, the pressure had got so I could actually hear the fluid moving around. Decongestants, advil and a couple hours on the couch made the pain go away. But the ringing hasn't stopped and the pressue, though lessened, is still there.
I was going to work at home today as I have an appointment at the doctor in the afternoon. Unfortunately, it is the knee doctor.
The irony being that the knee issue I've been putting off seeing the knee doctor about for over a year decided to go away approximately an hour after I made the appointment. I've even run twice (what usually sets it off) in the last week, but am only feeling it a little.
The weight loss is on track. The 29th was one month on the diet. I've lost about ten pounds. As an interesting example of how weight can fluctuate, here's my weighings for the last week:
5/24/2006 Wednesday 223.5
5/25/2006 Thursday 223.5
5/26/2006 Friday 224
5/27/2006 Saturday 223
5/28/2006 Sunday 222.5
5/29/2006 Monday 219.5
5/30/2006 Tuesday 222
5/31/2006 Wednesday 221.5
Notice how I appear to have lost three pounds between Sunday and Monday and then gained two and a half between Monday and Tuesday.
I was so shocked by the 219.5, that I weighed myself multiple times during the morning. I must have been dehydrated.
