Saw the Maccy D debate by jump the ladder (4.00 / 3) #1 Fri May 26, 2006 at 04:08:52 AM EST
The whole thing and I thought Steve Easterbrook came out of it looking a lot better than Strosser.

The thing is that Strosser only knows the situation with Mc Donalds in the US in any real depth and due to differences in the way Mc Donalds is run in the UK and the US and the more heavily way the business is regulated in UK compared to the US, a lot of his 'bad' Mc Donalds examples weren't really relevant.

Wasted opportunity by jump the ladder (4.00 / 3) #5 Fri May 26, 2006 at 04:23:25 AM EST
Strosser had his chance, that he's always been banging on about, to have a debate with a senior level Mc Donalds executive and he comes out of it lokoing like an amatuer that couldn't be bothered doing his research. Twat, and he has made Mc Donald's in the UK look a lot more credible.

My poor flatmate is despairing by nebbish (4.00 / 3) #4 Fri May 26, 2006 at 04:23:20 AM EST
Big Brother and the World Cup all summer. He quietly pointed out last night that it's actually his television and I'd better be nice to him.

The offside rule is difficult to explain in words, but not that difficult with a couple of diagrams.

I might get him interested yet by nebbish (4.00 / 1) #7 Fri May 26, 2006 at 04:58:07 AM EST
I think the key is getting him down the pub for a match so he gets a bit of the atmosphere. He's already expressing an interest in following Iran, awkward bastard.

I'll alert you now by MillMan (2.00 / 0) #10 Fri May 26, 2006 at 03:09:31 PM EST
should the US start winning matches, my latent nationalism will result in taunting of the yerpians and a shitload of animated gifs of the American flag.

Everybody still hates me in this city and I hate everybody.
