Print Story Pink Porridge

A recent post by Dr Thrustgood and subsequent egging on by Breaker for me to participate in the MFC made me browse through my library of jamsessions, collaborations and other recordings.

I present to you: Pink Porridge.

These tunes have never had an audience of more than five or six people including the composers.

They were made in 2004 (could be 2003, memory escapes me with these things.)

The process was thus: An improvised drum track was recorded by me. After that another track of a single instrument was recorded. Then, another one until nothing more could be done without ruining the tune. A bit like Photoshop Tennis. I don't remember the exact sequence anymore but I remember playing guitar and drums, my bro LibertyCapMan playing bass, cheap Casio  synth and being responsible for the production and effects.

In a future diary entry I might share a jamsession or two; if I'm allowed there will be a couple of tunes by LibertyCapMan -- he's the talented one of us.

Pink Porridge - 01 - The Ultra Signal
Pink Porridge - 02 - Butter Porridge
Pink Porridge - 03 - Homosexual Potato

They're a bit... strange, but I've been listening a lot to WFMU lately and that may have had an influence in selecting which tracks in my collection to first send out on the interweb.

Is not the word!  I think a couple of bowls of the kind bud would be required to fully appreciate those.

I liked the 3rd track the best, ROCK ON!
