Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatist. So both Bauer and Logan are destroying the republic in order to save it. Moral of 24, the republic is doomed; doomed mightily. It is only sustainable as a system of laws if those in its highest levels work outside the laws. It is the Dirty Harry concept taken to ridiculous levels.

Constitution Fun Challenge

We tend to think of constitution writing as being one off aberrations done impressively (thanks Madison), done badly (thanks Griffith) or not done at all (cough Britain, WA, SA and Tassie).

But constitutions are everywhere, from governments, to parties, to organisations - even iRaq-web 2.0; so more constitution writing skills are needed to be honed.

So citizen political scientists start your engines.

Week

I am having an exciting week. This was a touch unexpected.

I also got a Chevy Cobalt this time. No cruise control. I think I will get at minimum mid-size cars in future. They seem to have cruise control for a couple of extra bucks a day.
