Shot in the spine with a needle full of cortisone!

Holy shit that hurt.

That's the second one I've had, and the first was the worst pain ever...this one, I was crying. I lost a few pounds in water weight, too, from the panicked sweating. Thirty minutes into it, and I'm literally ready to pass out.

Apparently my disk at L4-L5 is nearly fucking gone, there's no space, it's "tight." So they add 5cc's of steroid and lidacaine, and all I feel it huge pressure and pain along my entire nerve channel from my ass on to my toes. Felt like my toes would pop off.

Fucking hell. Seriously, more goddamn pain than necessary.

In fact, later tonight I plan to perform the second distillation of around 8L of 60% alcohol. It will end up being vodkaish (this is a first try at this sort of thing, so I'm aiming for something easy) but I certainly plan to try a whiskey soon.

I have the label designed already. Perhaps I'll post it once the graphics designer guy gets the final version back to me.

Though the position of the injection and the condition of the spine all have factors. For me, 40 percent of the pain was getting the needle to the site.

it wasnt full of painkillers, was it? in delivery, the pain it's taking away is probably well worth the pain of having a FUCKING NEEDLE IN YOUR SPINE.

lidacaine, local. Drive that into the muscle, etc. Then they follow with the needle, pushing lidacaine and dye. Then they put in the steroid. Every single injection, though, hurts like hell due to the volume of liquid being pushed against the nerves.

There is a Russian deli / grocery on Shoal Creek, right by northwest Anderson. Take MoPac to Anderson. Go left on Anderson, and hang a right at the Shoal Creek light. There's a very new building on the left, right across from the strip mall that houses Sun Harvest. In it is Sashas. They used to be elsewhere.

They have everything there. Plus prepared food!

Filip actually worked there once and I've tried to get him to go there with me but he flat out refuses. Apparently it's a matter of Czech pride to NEVER set foot in a place once you've become a former employee. Either that or Sasha's an a-hole and Filip doesn't like the idea of maybe possibly having to talk to him again. Now that I have the best-rendered instructions to get to the place EVER, I will have to go there on my own.

And not for the obvous COK reference. It's a neat place, if a bit poorly laid out. It's next to all these strange international offices. There's, like, some sort of Brazilian social club there. I dunno, it's weird. Neat building, though.
