I have narrowly survived a semester at Ryerson. Six courses was too much, but I made it through with some degree of grace. The final test was my critique last Thursday. I feel that I weathered it well but several of my classmates did not weather, but wither. At least three girls were reduced to tears. To be fair, there was a lot of really shitty work on the walls, but so it goes, I suppose. I would say that mine was, and continues to be pretty good. The crafting of the prints is some of my best, ever. The photos themselves are a little uninspired, but such is the result of many things produced with education in mind.

I am listening to an amazing soundtrack for an amazing movie. I went to see The Fountain yesterday afternoon and it blew the top of my head off. It was very, very satisfying. Beautifully shot, cleverly told, moving, interesting. Directed by Darren Aronofsky, starring Hugh Jackman (who seems to be awesome) and Rachel Weisz. The soundtrack's by Clint Mansell (which some people seem to think is a good thing, I don't know him, myself) and Mogwai (which is definitely a good thing). I recommend the movie to anyone and the soundtrack to anyone who enjoys slow, simple, melodic compositions.

Now that I'm done school, I'm at loose ends. It took up so much of my time that it left little for anything else. I had time for some gaming, some eating, some sleeping, and occasionally some drinking. Now I've nothing but time. Good thing I'm going to New York City on Tuesday. I'm sure that will yield some things to do.

things find you.

Clint Mansell and Mogwai...think I'll have to go see it.

When I'm imprisoned as an enemy combatant, will you blog about it?

soundtrack's worn a bit thin on me to be perfectly honest. but i kind of listened it to death.

still highly recommend the movie. several things have found me, thus far.

off to make it easier for others to do so.
