Apparently we live right between the first and sixth safest "metropolitan" areas in the country. These 2 cities are around 50,000 people each, so they don't really have an "area", per-se, but nevertheless...

Six of the top ten are in small-town Wisconsin. Go figure.

    Sheboygan Trivia:
  1. The city allocates 50% of its annual budget to police and fire protection.
  2. The area is among one of the top places to find young, rich bachelors.
  3. The city is home to the tallest flagpole in the United States. The first one blew over in high wind, so they put up a bigger one (in true American fashion).
  4. The county is famous for its bratwurst, as well as its large number of cheese factories.
  5. The area was recognized by Reader's Digest as "The Best Place to Raise a Family" in the United States in 1995.
  6. Neighboring Manitowoc County has more cows than people (I just learned this, so I had to throw it in there).

sounds mind-numbingly boring, its silly name being its only redeeming feature.

You can be sure a city called Fond du Lac is safe. That is until Davy Jones moves there.

Cheers.

The lake is 20 feet deep. by nstenz (4.00 / 1) #9 Tue Nov 14, 2006 at 12:27:53 AM EST
It's a pretty large lake, but it's not very deep. I'm not sure where he'd hide.
