To all you Britlanders: Play what you're dealt.

Wow! This was unexpected. I had no idea he was that old. To listen to him, he was always kind of a nutjob, because he had this caustic quality about him, but you can't deny what he did. Of all those who claim to be, he was truely an American Icon. If you've never read it, his book, About Face, should be required reading.

Didn't even make through one entire movie this weekend. So you're left with biking. Netflix and/or USPS was late so only two movies arrived in time for the weekend, but I didn't get to either one. The third came today. Queue:
First Men in the Moon
Come Undone
House of Flying Daggers

Took a ride on Saturday as it was a bee-yoo-tiful day. It's the first ride of the year where I wasn't wearing some kind of warmer. Weatherman said it was going to be upper 60s but it got to 80. Rode around northwest of town for about 55 miles or so.

It was also the first ride with the new wheels. Maybe it's my imagination, but I think they make a big difference. They're even quieter. The certainly glide smoothly. The difference between the new wheels and the old, is sort of the difference between KY and Astro-glide.

Sunday I took a ride up to Salem. But, as usual, I got a late start and didn't get out of the house until around 11. I took the subway to Malden Center because there's simply no way to get across the Mystic River without going way out and around. I puttered around most of the way as it was a pretty nice day, but then when I got to Salem Willows, the thunderclouds started rolling in and I got stuck riding home in the rain. Again. So I cut the ride short and ended up going about 45 miles.

Gadget Realtor Chick is supposed to be here tonight to sign papers and stuff for the new listing. She seems confident she can unload this place quickly. We'll see. Part of the trip to Salem was to see if there were places interesting enough to live. But it rained so the research was incomplete.

With a simple calculation... by Vertical Frankenstein (4.00 / 1) #6 Tue May 31, 2005 at 12:48:31 PM EST

We can find that muk, astro glide is less than muk,ky.  Of course extensive research would need to be conducted in the laboratory and followed up by peer-review.  Any volunteers?
