Don't take this as a backhanded insult, as it really isn't meant to be, but have you considered doing illuistrations for children's books?  I ask because the drawing style would really fit in well; it very much reminds me of illustrations I've seen in Dahl books.

I've thought of doing that myself by MichaelCrawford (3.00 / 2) #3 Thu May 05, 2005 at 02:30:18 AM EST
I like to draw, and if I work at it regularly enough, I can draw pretty well:

I had this idea a long time ago though, long before there was anything like the Web or lulu.

I have so many projects, and so little time.

This one won't ever be in a children's book: by MichaelCrawford (3.00 / 2) #5 Thu May 05, 2005 at 08:02:15 AM EST

My old girlfriend and I decided one day that we would draw. We sat on her bed, each with a drawing pad. She drew a portrait of me. I drew the eyeball tree. You can guess how well we really got along together. Nowadays I curse the day I ever laid eyes on her. She wasn't exactly abusive, more completely thoughtless, inconsiderate, self-centered, and unaffectionate.

But whenever I would decide to stop calling her, she'd chase me down and say we should get back together again. It went on like that for five years. I wish I'd spent the time in a monastery.

Now this is the kind of stuff we like in our HuSi diaries. Drama and suffering of epic proportions. The essential human struggle. This is why we're here.

in fact it may very well be the best picture of an eyeball tree I think I've ever seen!

the one for your writing commissions. I sent you a sales inquiry last night, offerring to pay in advance, and here it's the next day and no response.

I figured you were busy syncing lips, but here you are hanging out on HuSi. Get to work man!
