I get up when I like
Wear anything I like
Don't keep up with the cool
I make up my own rules
Don't have to eat my greens
Or keep my bedroom extra tidy
'Cause nobody is around to tell me off

Sigh. Sounds good to me.

Inside: Work, dancing, computer. Not much really.

Work

I think this project is starting to niggle at my sanity. Everything we do is stupid. I'm currently rewriting a whole module from scratch. Despite being riddled with apparent bugs, nobody seems to have noticed. One of my favourite parts gets the coordinate of a point, then gets the coordinates of the same point, then finds the distance between the two. If it's greater than some constant it does stuff.

An integration exercise is currently underway in Sydney. Unlike previous integration exercises, there's currently only one vendor present. He's testing and raising problem reports like mad, while we are still in Perth. It doesn't make sense.

Dancing

Continues to be stupid. We've been through the whole routine. Thankfully, my feelings of frustration at not being able to do stuff properly have been replaced by apathy. As long as I'm facing the right direction and doing something vaguely similar to everyone else, they should be thankful.

I have a terrible suspicion that Mr Cha Cha has a surprise in store for us.

Computer

I think I need a new one. The Windows drive (which I don't use much) was making the click of death again yesterday. And I need to install gnome so that I can run Gramps, but I think my current machine would have a heart attack if I let gnome get anywhere near it.

that you should give up on the deviate bastard child of dancing that is called the 'cha-cha' and take up some real dancing.  Like east-coast swing.

aah, you misunderstand by sven (4.00 / 1) #2 Wed Feb 09, 2005 at 08:31:08 PM EST
We're not actually dancing a cha cha but an insidious routine developed by an evil power-hungry maniac named Mr Cha Cha, if that is his real name. I imagine him to be like the evil guy in Inspector Gadget. We've never actually seen his face, but he dictates his commands from afar. He probably has an evil cat as well.

My most humble apologies. by greyshade (4.00 / 1) #3 Wed Feb 09, 2005 at 10:13:22 PM EST
I wish I could figure out how to get an ominous aura of darkness to fall across half my person, obscuring my visage to onlookers.  I will pay well if you can steal this secret from the manical Mr Cha Cha for me.

Testing by cam (4.00 / 1) #4 Thu Feb 10, 2005 at 03:06:14 AM EST
I just sent in a test analysis report to a customer, we did not do three tests (they were not written which is why) that were needed to complete the requirements. I am stressing out about it. The tests were covered in the integration testing but not the acceptance testing. The customer doesnt seem concerned about it at this stage, but I am certain this will be used to bludgeon us on either money or something else they want done.
