I mean it, you are all great. Even the ones that are small. Maybe I'm just having a great day, but it's true. While walking around, wandering, I ran into so many people I knew and hadn't seen for a long time and they were all delightful. Some people I once knew emailed me, saying, "I thought of you and thought I should say hello, it's been a long time but we're all wonderfully made." And it went on and on and everybody is a shining image, each one of you, and I'm sorry if I've treated you like anything less.

I love Flannery O'Connor: you can see a very large world in each of her characters, even the horribly small ones.

I took a test yesterday. Afterwards, I asked one guy what he thought, and he said, "Wasn't bad, but I wish I were better with matrices," and I was like, "Matrices?" I have no idea where matrices come in. But I'm sure if he used 'em, he used 'em good. I've known that guy for decades, he's a rockstar.

It was actually pretty bad. Some sort of creamy chocolate pie. If only there were mince meat pie... I need to find that salt shaker lady.

But I like it spicier than sweet. Pie is a meal, damnit, not a dessert.
