It was a long day whose details I don't want to relive.  But the bottom line is: the misdemeanour will not affect my teaching certification (my biggest fear and concern), so I pleaded no contest  - which in the eyes of the law is not an admission of guilty, but is guilty - and got fines $250 payable by January 25, 2006.

So now I've got to come up with the $ to pay it.

Seriously, I'm hoping Santa will help me out.  The guy owes me big time, since I haven't really gotten presents in the past few years. 

It's done.  And that's all I care about.

And may i add:  Rizzo is a trooper.  I really raked him over the coals undeservedly yesterday from being so stressed out.  I apologized profusely, but I wanted to make it public as well.
