Simply fantastic!
This is one of the best cd's that i have bought in ages! I love indie music old and new and this cd picks out the cream of the crop. Tracks from bands like Thin Lizzy, The Small Faces and Squeeze are some of the best you'll get and it's not easy to find these alongside modern favourites such as Oasis, the Manics and Travis - which is what makes it unique! I used to spend ages raiding my brothers music collection trying to put together a mix like this and now he can have his old favourites back cos I've struck gold with this one cd! Go out, buy it, and play it to death at top volume!
The best album in my collection!!
This album is the best on my shelves and i have over 200 CDs. I advise any person to buy this album. There are great songs by people like Rod Stewart, The Jam and The buzzcocks. An absoloute corker of a CD!!
It's not A cd, it's THE cd
It's one of those CD's you simply have to own. When modern day music is tiring you can just slip this on and listen to all those classic tunes all on one CD. It features the best Indie and rock of nearly 40 years, mixing the vintage supreme with the modern quality. I'm always trying to make up "the ultimate" Indie soundtrack, why bother? these guys have got it in one.
What a minidisc!!
This is probably the best compilation I have ever bought.I first got it in July and still listen to it now every now and again just to hear those classics one more time.I wasnt even alive when most of these were recorded but they really are great. The real highlights are two princes (spin doctors), A design for life (manic street preachers),tube station at midnight (the jam) and the size oof a cow but there are only a couple of songs that have to be skipped past.An essential purchase.
Delightful compilation of some classic and modern tunes
Some great tracks are compiled on this CD to bring the listener a huge cross section of tunes form modern day stuff to the music that I was brought up on. Classics such as "Ghost Town", "Down in the Tube Station" and "London Calling" will exite the youngsters and enable them to compare with todays best stuff from the Manics, Boo Radleys and Catatonia. Excellent. A must for all collectors. Buy it now!
