More on possible job. Girlfriend. Independence day.

Saturday was my last day at the car wash (part-time job). Now I have about 10-12 extra hours of time every week. Whatever shall I do? Maybe start playing my bass again :)

Got a phone message on Friday from the state, regarding my application. I called back this morning and we set up a phone interview for this Wednesday. Needless to say, I'm excited about a possible move (location and career-wise). But...

I have not yet informed J of anything relating to the job. I don't know if I would want her to come with me. Actually, I know I don't want her there for a while. Best scenario on my end would be her staying around here for a while (she's taking a grad course here in the fall) and then possibly moving back in with me at the new location, depending on how we're both feeling.

All I know is that I'm not ready to do this living together, always together thing. Feels too much like settling down/marriage/a trap.

I'll keep you all posted.

We're going to the 10,000 Lakes Music Festival this weekend. J and I will be working, parking cars, so we need to show up on Thursday and then leave on Monday. It's a good deal because we get in free and get paid for the hours that we work. Hopefully we'll have time to take in some of the shows.

That's all for today. Complete the poll!

Good luck making that decision. by MohammedNiyalSayeed (6.00 / 1) #1 Mon Jun 28, 2004 at 02:28:39 PM EST

I'm entirely too drunk to offer advice that I'd stand by, but if you want advice to throw away at will, run. Run far away. Well, not so much run, as peacefully walk away, as I think you know by the very fact that its even a question whether you'd want her there or not, that you do not.

But, like I said, I'm drunk. You should probably discard my advice.

You can build the most elegant fountain in the world, but eventually a winged rat will be using it as a drinking bowl.
