If you're planning on attending the Chicago HuSimeet, herein lies some info you might like to have.

First, you goofballs, this event is taking place the weekend of August 27-28-29. If you want to book airfare, now is probably the time, there are some summer sales on.

Secondly, the hotel I and a couple of other folks are staying at is the Best Western. There are several in Chicago, but I'm staying at this one:

Best Western Inn Of Chicago
162 E Ohio Street
Chicago, Illinois
(312)787-3100

Rooms right now are running in the eighties or nineties, you might want to jump on that. Share a room with a pal and save monay!

Finally, the master of ceremonies for this HuSimeet is MillMan. You might check some of his back-diaries for any other information. Here's hoping he doesn't have a nervous breakdown like the last one did. Be nice to him, help him out, talk to him about something other than when the next pizza pie is coming out, and for chrissakes don't take his picture, pigfuckers, unless he says it's okay.

I know a great place that is no where near that expensive, but it's not in the city - it's just off 55 in Countryside, called Bobak's. Good Polish food, all you can eat, big tables with lots of room...

Plus, being from around here lately, there are LOTS of other places we could suggest.

I'm open to suggestions. I have a few friends in the city who I've been asking. As far as the place you suggested, I want to keep things within walking distance of the L, because many of us are flying in and not renting cars. So I'd prefer to keep it in or near downtown. If you have other ideas you can email me.

Oh Chicago is almost up there so thats like 200 bucks round trip. And my fall term begins in mid August.

Sigh, I'll wait till HUSI meets come to Atlanta. Or till I get out of this suffocating noble school of mine. Or till I am a lil bit less poor.

If anyone wants to split a room, I'd be interested. On all the cheap hotel sites I've checked, this hotel is running about $129 a night. Unless, of course someone wants to hip me to how they're getting $80-90 a night (hint hint hint)...

So I feel that I must bear some responsibility for this sadly slatternly invective.

If only I believed in some sort of Invisible Sky Giant, I would happily sacrifice a spikey haired attention whore goat as a petition to bring you some inner peace and love.  As it is, I can only send the healing vibes your way, and hope that they aren't deflected by the 15mm of armour plate on your Interstate Fighting Vehicle.

Also, beloved superdiva is still lurking.  And she has much nicer boo- diction than you.  Just so you know.
