but when is anyone actually active on #HuSi ?

Look inside for something else.

For those of you who actually bothered to look in here, here is a picture of a Goldfinch I managed to get today:

I've seen #husi active at all times of the day, but it tends to be most active in the late afternoon, early evening for me. early-mid morning also seems to be active, but i'm usually dead to the world, and not participating in IRC, or anything else for that matter (This is PST, btw...)

in the time between 6:30pm - midnight UKian time...
usually it's quiet in that time with a few bursts of conversation...

But I'm usually away. I can nrmally be trolled/bitched at from 1700-2400 GMT, plus various times of day on the weekends. Or during the (EUian) day if I'm working from home.

Unless I'm completely off the network, which happens sometimes.

Although I think that I have say that I think it's a greenfinch, not a goldfinch, which in its European version has bright red patches on its cheeks and in its American edition is bright gold. Like very bright.

I went on #HuSi last night, and hope I didn't piss anyone off too much: first time on IRC. Sorry, I didn't mean to run off when you were talking to me, Metatone.

is a Lesser Goldfinch; they tend to be greenish-looking on the back like that.

I'm pretty sure we don't have greenfinches here in California.

I thought you were UKian, and it bears a strong resemblance to a European greenfinch, and very little resemblance to a European goldfinch.
