Television Tropes Wiki [MeFi ;)].
RedemptionInTheRain:
A standard shot, usually done from above via a crane, that shows the character being gloriously and joyously rained on, obviously symbolic of a baptism and a new life/rebirth... these days you can almost count on some character going through a life-changing event if it's overcast and a low pressure system is moving in.
Behavourist Dr Skinner famously built a "baby box" for his infant daughter: now she speaks out. [:o] Looks pretty useful, especially the soundproofing,

Preview of possible new look for google.[:(]

Poll: Would you use a baby box for your child?

OK, that tropes link is brilliant by gazbo (3.00 / 0) #1 Thu Mar 11, 2004 at 09:59:42 PM EST
And the only reason I will let you off for the Google link which, unless I'm missing something, shows Google have made a very minor tweak to their site.  Very minor.

But that tropes link really is very good.

But YOU SAW IT FIRST! by R Mutt (6.00 / 1) #2 Thu Mar 11, 2004 at 10:06:07 PM EST
You're in with the in-crowd! Part of the elite! If it goes live, you'll be able to casually say to all your friends "yeah, I saw that in the preview".

OK, so it just appealed to me.

They are fans of his, but at least the nature of the page means that every mention of him and his shows is utterly irreverent.

Makes good shows for pre-teens. My midgets love Buffy and Angel. When they grow up, I'm sure they'll become avid Sapphire and Steel fans.

The poor girl by MisterQueue (5.00 / 1) #3 Thu Mar 11, 2004 at 10:08:13 PM EST
she's been made so crazy by her dad's mad scientist experiments that she's ready and willing to defend him at any cost. Nay, she claims she "loves him dearly"! Only a madwoman could love such an evil psychoanalitical puppeteer! The poor thing is clearly more than a bit touched.

Well by R Mutt (5.00 / 1) #4 Thu Mar 11, 2004 at 10:17:22 PM EST
I'm not a breeder, but rugrats do seem to get tangled up in their bedclothes while asleep. A warm box seems like a pretty handy alternative to me.

You may have something there by MisterQueue (3.00 / 0) #8 Thu Mar 11, 2004 at 11:09:16 PM EST
after all, aren't we all looking for a warm box to climb up into?

Point. Set. Match. I think

I already keep my midgets in cardboard boxes when I'm bored of them. Which is most of the time. I'm not unkind though, the boxes do have little slots for air and to post pizza slices through.

Just how warm is a cardboard box?
