Yes, it has been a long time.

That, dear reader, is because I have been especially busy. Last week Andie and Dylan moved to Vienna to live with me. Horay!

Also, I have been working on my ACCU conference slides. I have been using der apfel, and it has been a productive relationship so far. I am liking OS X.

Yes. Talking of accu, I am (again) published.

Also, there was a big Rockstar Party. Can you find me? Oh dear. My tongue is that color because of the all the (very strong, very free) "Rockstar Special" cocktails I had been drinking.

Anywho, I am still busy, so I'll save the other half of this diary for next time, and leave you with this little gem from the Bungie website: "Pimps At Sea", perhaps the best game concept ever.

Working? No. by codemonkey uk (6.00 / 1) #11 Wed Feb 25, 2004 at 01:22:10 AM EST
Andie has no plans to work in Austria. But she still has a job at Lloyds TSB that will have her back in the UK on a regular basis, and there is a strong international (English speaking) community in Vienna, thanks mostly to the UN offices. So hopefully everything will work out okay.

  4. Look for totally handsome manager with hot chick: Hit

  5. Look for incompetent graphic designer chick that can't really draw, but still does not get fired: Hit

Yikes, it looks like a dot-com up there where you are. And I don't see anyone with a sticking out tongue.

Here, far left.

"Pimps At Sea" looks teh funny as a concept (I'd have called it "Seaman Pimps", for reasons that could only be described as juvenile), but extended skinny-white-nerd-writing-pseudo-jive only really works if it's done balls out.  I still reckon it'll ship before Half Life 2 though.

Who needs a mirror when I've got the left hand side of this picture?  Except he's smiling, obviously.
